Sometimes we come to a place where we know who we are, and act on it. It takes courage to swim against the flow of what is expected, what is asked, what is required, and do what we know in our hearts is right. I never dressed like a punk or sneered like a punk, but I know there's a little punk rock soul that resides beneath my chest, tapping out a rhythm that I could no longer ignore.

Interesting.

Alabama’s unemployment rate has dropped from 9.8 in September to 8.1 in December after implementing new laws enforcing immigration laws. So much for the old argument that people won’t do the jobs illegal aliens will do…

Honestly, I stand divided on this issue, caught between seeing people trying to escape a very bad situation for the chance of a new life, and the protection of work for those who went about things the right way to get here. But this is a very interesting statistic.

rej0ice said: It’s an interesting statistic. It may also be important to look at other factors that might contribute to the decrease of employment. Does the upcoming election have a contribution? Are there social/environmental factors? Is this simply immigration?
